We have scheduled a total of 8 weeks of different camps and activities
this summer for developmentally delayed and high risk children. Activities
include using the horse for sensory habilitation, arts and crafts to teach
creative expressionism, petting zoo, organic gardening and nature studies.
This year's camp counselors & instructors are as follows:
Anna Scoggins, Lead Instructor, Teacher with experience in Special Ed
students and will be facilitating the equestrian related activities at the
camps.
Sarah Hyatt, Lead Instructor, Horse Specialist with experience in Special
Ed students will be partnering with Anna.
Tracy Hildreth is Art Instructor for the entire summer activity schedule.
She has experience in art, graphic design, and art therapy with her own 9
year old autistic child. Her 15 year old son will be in the work/mentoring
program and one of the camp peer buddies.
Area colleges send interns and area Beta Clubs send volunteers to help
with programming. We have just started asking for new volunteers to log
