history: Porky was very fat when he came here and has been on a "hay only" diet.  He is now fit and trim.
personality: Laid back, somewhat lazy and doesnt seem to be bothered by anything.

SILVER
breed: Quarter horse

size: 15-2 hands
history: been at ranch approx 5 yrs, our most versatile therapy horse
personality: Silver is a very fiesty horse.  If not doing therapy with the kids, he likes to cut and run

JETT
breed: Paint
age: 7 yrs old
size:16 hands
history: Jett came to Heartland as a boarder about 4.5 years ago.  His owner had to move away and he stayed.
personality: He was tried as a therapy horse 2 years ago and was found to be very suited to the job.  He is also used for lessons and as a camp horse.  He is a very headstrong horse

MISSY

breed: Quarter Horse
age: 9 yrs old
size:15 hands
history: She came as a boarder 4 years ago. She was tried as a therapy horse two years ago when one of our elderly therapy horses was put down.
personality: Missy is a cancer survivor! She recently had it surgically removed from her neck.    She has been a very consistent mount for our kids.

SHORT STOP
breed: Quarter horse
age: 9 yrs old
size: 15-3 hands
history: Short Stop is our newest therapy horse.  He was a track pony but injured his left back leg, hence decided he needed a new job in a different field, so he retired from the track and relocated from Florida to Heartland as a therapy horse.
personality: He is very sweet, loves attention, and loves treats, especially pretzels.

LIGHTNING McQUEEN

breed: Arabian
age: almost 5 years old
size: 14-1
history: He showed signs of having a rough life at the age of 6 months.  He was originally purchased as a "two-for" having shown signs of being badly abused.  He was set out to pasture to relax and just be a horse for awhile.  He was then gifted to Sarah Hyatt from her friend and she has been his caretaker ever since.
personality: He's the horse who thinks he is a dog!  He loves giving horse kisses up the sides of unsuspecting faces, has a fondness of sweet tea, keylime pie, spagetti and roasted marshmallows.  He has very goofy personality and a great love for children.  He is always very helpful but with tendencies to be a prankster.
