Rick Honeycutt

LA Dodgers Pitching Coach
Owner of Heartland Ranch
Honeycutt Youth Benefit

Rick Honeycutt is our hometown boy who has "done good". He graduated in 1972 from Lakeview High School where he helped the Warriors to win back-to-back state titles in 1971-72. At the University of Tennessee, he was an All-American and Southeastern Conference batting king. He has played in the Major Leagues for the Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Oakland Athletics, New York Yankees and the St. Louis Cardinals. He was voted into the Tennessee Sports Hall of fame in 2006.

In 2001, Rick joined the pitching staff of the L.A. Dodgers and became their head pitching coach in 2006. He is married to his high-school sweetheart, Deborah Honeycutt. They have two children Rick and Holli Griffith, a Ph.D. in therapy, and a beautiful grandson, Haden.

In 2001, Rick and Debbie purchased Heartland Ranch and Arena, they have long been committed to the youth of our area and have donated land and made this wonderful ranch available to do programming for those children and youth whom society considers to be "at the bottom of the food chain." Rick started the Rick Honeycutt Youth Foundation run through the Ft. Oglethorpe Kiwanis and serves on Heartland's Board of Directors
