Tracy Hildreth

Art Director

Tracy was born and lived most of her life in Florida until moving to the Chattanooga area in the summer of 2003 with her 3 boys.

She was raised by her mother, who was an artist, and she herself was born with natural artistic and creative talent that she displayed at a very early age in her life. By the age of 11 she painted a monochromatic landscape that went into an all adult art competition along with a sculptured piece taking 2nd and 3rd place in those competitions.

She obtained her degree in printing & graphic arts in Dec. of 2000 from David G. Erwin Technical Institute in Tampa as a single parent.

Tracy's involvement with Heartland's mission is a heartfelt passion that hits very close to her own home. After moving to the Chattanooga area, it was discovered that her middle son has Asperger's Syndrome, a form of high-functioning Autism. Having an Autistic child made balancing work and home extremely challenging until discovering that her son communicated and excelled in his learning exceptionally well through artistic & creative avenues.  She is hoping that the success she has had with her own son through creative expressionism can prove to be beneficial to the special needs children of Heartland as well.  She also hopes to one day further her education in obtaining a degree in Artistic Therapy so that she can continue working with her son and other children who share his challenges on a deeper and more beneficial level.
